While the Venerable Master was still at Cho Quan Hospital, during his free time, with a clear and serene mind, he suddenly felt compassion for all beings struggling in the ocean of worldly suffering. Moved by compassion, he borrowed pen and ink to write this book of teachings. In it, he clearly distinguishes between the two paths of the divine and the worldly, and expounds on methods of practice to awaken sentient beings and help them quickly turn towards goodness.

He explained that those who practice asceticism at home both live by farming and diligently cultivate their spiritual practice, liberating their body and mind. Therefore, their hearts are always pure and tranquil in the face of all worldly things, wealth, beauty, and fame. Although they still have a mortal body like everyone else, they have diligently practiced meditation for a long time, so now their hearts are enlightened, free from all delusion. This is his example of virtue for his followers to follow.
