TIẾT TRINH: Also read as trinh tiết, meaning the purity of women, who cannot love any man other than their official husband: “A girl with chastity and happiness is a phrase to cultivate oneself” (Lục Vân Tiên).
LỜI THÁNH HIỀN: Refers to the teachings of Confucius and the sages who inherited his moral principles. These words are included in the Five Classics: Book of Changes, Book of Songs, Book of Rites, Spring and Autumn Annals, and the Four Books (Four texts: Great Learning, Doctrine of the Mean, Analects, Mencius).
