Also called Jambudvipa (Sanskrit: Sambudvipa), one of the four continents in the world of Saha, belonging to the south of Mount Tu Di, also called “Nam Thiem Bo continent”, that is, the earth we live on, a large part of which is occupied by the Heavenly Realm. The reason why it is called Diem Phu De is because this world has a spiritual tree named Jambud. Under the shade of that tree, Prince Siddhartha once sat and meditated here at the time when the Indians were holding the Ha Dien ceremony (starting plowing the fields). That’s why people also call Thien Truong (India) Jambudvipa.

In this realm, the Himalayas are the highest mountain range (8,840m). According to the Sutras: “The world of Jambudvipa has a circumference of 30,000 yojanas, the shape of half a moon. People live to be 100 years old and have to work very hard to have enough means: food, clothing, and shelter. In addition, they also have to endure thousands of sufferings, unspeakable.” Therefore, the Master advises sentient beings to strive to practice to overcome this situation, that is, to be liberated to Nirvana, Ultimate Bliss. As He once called:

“Wanting for snakes to become ticklish, Sacrifice your life to make merit and overcome it.”
