Also called the Boat of Enlightenment, or Awakening. Enlightenment refers to the righteous path or righteous Dharma, which is synonymous with wisdom. The boat is a vessel used to carry all things, from the phrase
“Mystical Dharma Boat.” It means that those who rely on the righteous Dharma of the Path to practice, free from defilement and entanglement with worldly affairs, attain liberation and freedom, like someone sailing a boat across the river of delusion to the shore of enlightenment.
