Six minutes is our calculation of 6 hours in ancient times. According to the ancient way of calculating time, midnight starts from the hour of the Rat to the hour of the Pig. Every day and night there are 12 hours according to the 12 branches: Rat, Ox, Dan, Meo, Dragon, Snake, Ngo, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, Pig. Therefore, every day from morning to night there are 6 hours. The folk song has a saying:

“On the sixth day, I hope you’re gone.”

Ba Thoi’s Nine Songs also said:

“For five hours of the night, I sobbed without rest,

Six minutes a day, the durian will be broken!”
