Money and possessions acquired through dishonest and unjust means, not through legitimate and honest work, not only fail to bring lasting wealth but also lead to many misfortunes: “Unjustly acquired wealth brings misfortune.” (Kim Cổ Kỳ Quan: Ancient and Modern Wonders). Therefore, unjustly acquired wealth is also called ill-gotten gains: “Ill-gotten gains accomplish nothing.” (Khuyến Thiện: Encouraging Goodness, Oracle Vol 5)
