Opium (opium, opium)… Opium smokers become increasingly thin and weak; they spend their days and nights around the opium pipe, exhaling smoke and clouds, oblivious to everything else, squandering all their money, land, and property. The ancients warned: “If you have food, smoke a pipe of tobacco, don’t smoke opium, no one likes it.” The Master has now forbidden his followers: “Opium: Must be completely abstained from; not a single pipe should be smoked. Those who smoke and wish to enter the Path must quit smoking before they can be accepted.
