A district in Long An province (before 1939 it was Tân An), where the resistance against the French by Mr. Nguyễn Trung Trực took place, on the historical river Vàm Cỏ Đông (Nhựt Tảo). According to the Sa1mGia3ng Commentary (1975).

According to Wikipedia, today Bến Lức District is located in the northeast of Long An province, serving as the northern gateway to the southwestern region of Vietnam, about 30 km southwest of Ho Chi Minh City center, about 15 km northeast of Tân An city, with geographical positions as follows:

To the east, it borders Cần Giuộc District and Bình Chánh District, Ho Chi Minh City.

To the west, it borders Thủ Thừa District.

To the south, it borders Cần Đước District and Tân Trụ District.

To the north, it borders Đức Hòa District and Đức Huệ District.

According to 2019 statistics, the district has an area of 287.86 km², a population of 181,660 people, with a population density of 631 people/km².

Bến Lức District is a strategic area for the economy and military of Ho Chi Minh City. National Highway 1 is the main national transport route connecting the key economic region in the south with the Mekong Delta, passing through the district Bến Lức, facilitating economic development, cultural exchange, quick access to the latest information in the country, integrating with the market economy, developing children
