Also called the Awakening Boat. Insight or awakening refers to the Right Path or the True Dharma, which is also synonymous with wisdom. The boat is a vessel used to carry all things, from the term ‘Wonderful Dharma Boat.’ It implies that a person who follows the True Dharma of the Way in practice becomes free from defilements and worldly entanglements, thus attaining liberation, like someone riding a boat across the river of delusion to the shore of enlightenment.
- The Master once ‘Rode the Awakening Boat to guide and escort beings to birth.’ (Exhortation, Vol. 5). And He always advises followers:
‘Cultivate your virtues through Buddhism,
The Insight Boat takes you over the cataclysm.’
