Sanskrit: Suddhodana, transliterated as Shudhodana or Yudhodana, translated as King Suddhodana. Meaning: The King who performs acts of charity in a pure manner. He belonged to the Shakya clan, the father of Prince Siddhartha, and was of the Kshatriya caste.
