They are plural; “hữu” means “to exist”; “tình” means “consciousness” or “having a connection.” The general meaning refers to all sentient beings with life. In the universe, there are two realms: the non-sentient and the sentient. a/- The non-sentient realm includes species that do not move or have understanding, such as: minerals, earth, water, plants… b/- The sentient realm includes species that have life and consciousness, but have not yet escaped the cycle of birth and death.
