The word ‘Loan’ can be used as ‘Loan xa’ or ‘Loan giá’, meaning: the king’s carriage. In the past, the king’s carriage often had carvings of the phoenix, pulled by four horses, and bells hung on the horses’ necks; when it moved, the bells would ring, symbolizing the phoenix’s call. So the term ‘riding the loan carriage’ refers to being close to the Holy King of former times. It can also imply the results achieved through spiritual practice.
