HARMONY BUDDHISM
Người hiểu rành mới càng thêm chán,
Chi bằng ta bỏ lối trớ-trêu.
Nói với ai cũng phải lựa điều,
Đừng tráo-chác cho người khinh dể.
Ác Tà-Dâm thứ năm càng tệ,
Chúa hôn-mê chiếm đoạt thê thần.
Làm đảo-huyền tất cả quốc-dân,
Tôi bất chánh hoàng-cung dâm loạn.
Tội lỗi ấy diễn nhiều thảm trạng,
Từ xưa nay Trời đất đâu dung. [510]
Giàu của nhiều dâm hiếp bần cùng,
Quan lấn thế dâm-ô dân khó.
Trai liều-lĩnh điều này nên bỏ,
Đừng phá trinh hại tiết nữ nhơn.
Gái lẳng-lơ tiếng huyễn lời đờn,
Hoa có chủ đèo-bồng tình mới.
Cất tiếng gọi nữ nam ơi hỡi,
Bỏ những điều điếm nhục tông môn.
Đứng nam-nhi học lấy điều khôn,
Lòng trung-hiếu gìn theo đạo-lý. [520]
Hàng phụ-nữ gương xưa nối chí,
Những mẹ hiền dâu thảo roi truyền.
Niệm Phật mà gây lấy thiện duyên,
Cho đẹp mặt Tổ-tiên nòi giống.
Thờ Phật-Đạo tỉnh cơn ác mộng,
Thoát mê-đồ thường phóng quang-minh.
Rán hiểu rành tiếng kệ lời kinh,
Ác thứ sáu ấy là Đạo-Tặc.
Lấy của người sắm ăn sắm mặc,
Chẳng kể công nước mắt mồ-hôi. [530]
Phá lương dân dạ luống bồi-hồi,
Ngày làm-lụng đêm lo gìn-giữ.
Trốn pháp-luật tập-tành đủ thứ,
Nào đào tường, khoét vách khuân đồ.
Tội chập-chồng đâu biết ở mô,
Trốn người khỏi trốn Trời sao khỏi.
Nay đuốc huệ Từ-Bi đã rọi,
Vào thâm-tâm những kẻ gian phi.
Hãy tu thân chừa thói vô nghì,
Của phi nghĩa làm chi xong chuyện. [540]
Luật nhơn-quả thật là cao viễn,
Suốt cổ kim chẳng lọt một ai.
Vậy ta nên làm việc thẳng ngay,
Cứ bền chí có ngày thong-thả.
Ác thứ bảy Sát-Nhơn gây vạ,
Tánh hung-hăng đâm chém chặt bầm.
Chất-chứa điều hung dữ trong tâm,
Chờ đắc thế ra tay hạ sát.
Viết đến đây động lòng rào-rạt,
Gẫm nhiều người bội-bạc thâm ân. [550]
Nào kể chi là đạo Quân-Thần,
Tôi giết chúa, con đành sát phụ.
Lúc nguy-cơ tớ mong hại chủ,
Trò giết thầy tội ấy đáng không.
Thêm chồng giết vợ, vợ giết chồng,
Niềm huynh-đệ cùng nhau xâu-xé.
Cũng hiếm lúc con còn giết mẹ,
Giành của tiền cốt-nhục giết nhau.
Tranh lợi danh giết lẫn đồng-bào,
Tình nhơn-loại phân chia yểm-bách. [560]
Giết sanh vật đầy lòng kiêu-cách,
Tưởng rằng mình như thế là ngoan.
Khuyên bá-gia bá-tánh việt-đàn,
Chớ sát hại mạng người như thế.
Bớt giết vật đặng mà cúng tế,
Gẫm Thánh-Thần đâu có tư riêng.
Rủi ốm đau bởi tại căn tiền,
Hoặc hiện kiếp làm điều bạo-ác.
Phải ăn-năn phước-điền tạo-tác,
Lo thuốc thang khẩn-vái Phật Trời. [570]
Nguyện sửa lòng ắt Phật giúp đời,
Xuống phước rộng từ-bi hỉ-xả.
Đấng Thần-Minh công bình trực dạ,
Đâu ăn lo đổi họa làm may.
Mở tâm linh nghĩ đến đoạn này,
Điều họa phước ấy cơ báo ứng.
Chẳng biết thân còn toan chứa đựng,
Quả bất lành chưa trả vay thêm.
Cầu cho đời sóng lặng gió êm,
Đặng bá-tánh an-nhàn tu niệm. [580]
Ác thứ tám là lòng Tham Hiểm,
Muốn bao gồm của thế một mình.
Tham nhà cao, cửa rộng, thân vinh,
Tham vườn ruộng cò bay thẳng kiếng.
Thấy của người thèm khô nước miếng,
Tính làm sao lường gạt lấy đi.
Sẵn túi tham bất cứ chuyện gì,
Dầu xấu tốt cũng là dồn chứa.
Nhớ lời Phật khi xưa dạy sửa,
Của thế trần như mật dính dao. [590]
Trẻ tham ăn kê miệng liếm vào,
Chừng đứt lưỡi mới là hối-hận.
Tham của tạm làm điều tàn-nhẫn,
Nhắm mắt rồi đâu có mang theo.
Tham tiền tài thường vướng nạn eo,
Tham sắc đẹp nhà tan cửa nát.
Lúc tận số nằm trơ một xác,
Gẫm kim-tiền bội-bạc bất tài.
Không làm cho ta được sống dai,
Lại chẳng bước tiễn đưa một bước. [600]
Those who know you well will more hate you,
You would rather give up your hateful behaviors.
With anyone, you must select the right words,
Be honest or people look down on you for sure.
The Fifth Evil is Sexually wrong demeanour .
The benighted king seizes his subjects’ wives,
He turns upside down the whole country’s lives.
The evil subjects fornicate the palace,
These sins have caused so much distress.
The Heaven will never be so indulgent,
The rich sadists violate the indigent.
Power-reliant mandarins rape those in dismay.
The reckless boys should chase this idea away,
Do not sully the chastity of the female,
The sluts make flirtations with the male.
Those who have had lovers still want a new affair,
Boys and girls, we call you to take great care.
Give up the things which will sully your ancestry,
The men need to learn how to gain wizardry,
Loyal and filial, they uphold the morals,
The women must follow the ancient examples.
Of gentle mothers and caring daughters in-law,
Recite the Buddha to create a good cause.
So that you can glorify your ancestors.
Practice Buddhism to end your bad dream,
Quit the worldly place to often gleam.
Of the sutras, have a good understanding,
The Sixth Evil, that is Robbery and Stealing.
To own provisions, one takes others’ belongings,
Regardless of their sweatings and bleedings.
One disrupts and destroys people’s lives,
Who are unsettled throughout days and nights.
One lives underground and practices all the tricks,
Digging the walls, drilling houses, and logistics.
These crimes heap up and belong to all kinds,
One can shun man but the Heaven’s eyes.
The torch of Insights and Mercy has now shined,
Deeply entering the thugs’ hearts and minds.
Practise by abandoning your immoral habits,
Nothing does well with this unrighteous riches.
The law of cause and effect is far-reaching,
Since time starts, no one can escape its netting.
Thus you should be diligent with veracity,
If you persist, you will one day be free.
The Seventh Evil is the Killing danger,
Those who are aggressive tend to butcher.
Building up brutal intentions in their minds,
They wait for the chance to make killing strikes.
When we write up to this, we are very unhappy,
Seeing that the ungrateful are so many.
They ignore the way bonding People to Ruler,
Underlings kill lords, children murder fathers.
Servants want to harm their bosses in danger,
What a crime! disciples slaughter their masters.
Also, husbands kill wives, wives kill husbands,
Brothers devour each other as though lions.
Children even kill their mothers on occasions,
They kill their family members just for money,
They kill their compatriots for profit and glory.
The human sphere is divided and subjugated.
They kill animals with haughtiness unabated.
Thinking that such an action makes them smart,
We urge the Vietnamese people near and far,
Do not destroy the human being ’s lives,
‘Cause they kill animals for their sacrifices,
In fact, the deities have no private interests.
If you are sick, it is ‘cause of your prior deeds,
Or ‘cause you have in this life done something bad.
You must repent and provide material aid,
Take medication and pray to the Saints.
Buddha will help if you commit to your change,
The Holy will cover you with Their compassion.
They are equitable and fair-minded champions,
Who don’t take bribe to change bad luck for good.
Open your mind to think about this likelihood,
The bad or good depends on what you have done.
You don’t repent but do the wrong,
You have not paid them off but add to your debt.
We pray for all global storms to subside,
For people all over to practise their minds.
The Eighth Evil is the Malice and Greed,
A desire to possess wealth beyond one’s need.
Craving big houses, great comfort and glory,
Yearning for more lands than the eyes can see.
They are covetous when facing others’ property,
So they plot how to take it deceptively.
Their Greedines bag is bottomless,
They stuff it with whatever, good or bad.
Remember what was Lord Buddha’s advice,
World assets are like honey stuck on a knife,
The gluttonous once they see it lick straight in,
When their tongue hurt, they repent in vain.
Craving temporary things, they commit cruelties,
When they die, away can't these be carried.
Disasters tend to arise from greed for monies,
Craving beauteousness ruins families.
In agony, your body is lying inert,
No cash nor gems have no effect to exert.
They neither enable you to prolong your life,
Nor do they see you off by any stride.
