Western Heaven: 

By definition, it means Thiên Trúc, Thiên Trước, Tây Vức, the names which the Chinese under the Tang dynasty attributed to India.  Northern Buddhism has also been familiar with this usage to date.   This name originates from the fact that this is the place where Gautama Buddha was born and founded Buddhism.

In the Pure land sect, Thiên Trước also means the Western Paradise of the Amitabha as Lord Master Huynh has said:

" Thiên Trước landscape is full of beautiful odor,

Why did I stay on there but descend on the world."

or

"The Western Heaven has its palaces full of gems,

Practice mindfulness in search of a blissful haven."
