GỌI ĐOÀN PHỤ-NỮ

Chị em ơi ! Bắc Nam là một,

Chị em là rường cột giống nòi.

Dở sử xanh Nam-Việt mà coi,

Gương Trưng, Triệu còn roi muôn thuở.

Chẳng có lẽ xưa hay mà nay dở,

Khiếp-nhược là cái cớ vong-gia.

Chí anh-hùng của khách quần-thoa,

Đâu có kém bực tu-mi (1) nam-tử.

Sách Thánh Hiền truyền-lưu mấy chữ,

Thất-phu còn trách-nhiệm với non sông.

Cả tiếng kêu bạn gái má hồng,

Đem son phấn điểm-tô Tổ-Quốc.

Sài-Gòn, tháng tư năm Ất-Dậu (1945).

(1) Tu Mi ám chỉ người đàn ông có đầy đủ nghị lực để đảm đương việc lớn.

Our sisters, North and South are at one,

You are the pillars of our state.

Read the Nam Viet history from its old dates,

Trung and Trieu's examples shine non-stop.

No way the old are good and the new are nope,

Cowardice is the cause of the country loss.

The female valiance has its own gloss,

Being not inferior to the beard and mustache, [1]

The Saintly sutras enshrine the message,

Even an ordinary citizen has his national duty.

I call out to all the ladies with rosy cheeks,

Beautify your fatherland with your cosmetics.
